Strolling Pigs

I hope you have enjoyed this beautiful weekend! We spent a good portion of the week moving animals and putting fences up and taking fences down.

We had a few pigs escape from our make-shift laneways and had to play ring-around-the-rosie with them.

They didn’t want to leave their old pasture and walk all that distance - they just didn’t see the point- until they listened and got to where we were going.

Those girls can be stinkers!

Rob just turned 36 years old on the 14th! We celebrated by hanging out by the crick and watching the girls play on the "marshmallow bales" in the field next to it. We also made a special Country Style Ribs Dinner and homemade cheesecake.

The girls found a painted lady turtle and a pool of pollywogs that have been their entertainment for a few hours this week. We are also classifying that playtime as science because we have totally skipped our homeschool lessons. I guess that's what rainy days are for- playing catch-up.

Splash and her Heifer. We love this little girl!

Farm Update September 26th 2021

As lovers of the simple life, we sure do ride the crazy train over here, as I’m sure you can relate. Since you’ve visited, there is a new fence up, and we’re still doing hay, still moving pigs, chickens, and cattle around.
